Soul Retrieval I

03/15/08

As I enter, I find myself standing on my familiar path, I noticed the wonderful bird song, the inland breeze from the trade winds was warm, and the air held a magnetic peacefulness that was captivating. Eagerly jump into the water, and taking one last breath, I flip over and swim down, down, down, through the narrow midway point and on up to the surface on the other side.

Pulling myself out of the pool I walk out of the cavern to find Wascar once again sitting by the fire, as I greet him I hand him three oranges. He speaks softly saying we must go now and as his words fade a doorway without a door appears with great respect we step through and into a room. The room is brightly lit, full of shelves containing brightly painted wooden toys and toy statues of equal brilliance. A young boy dressed like “Opie” comes out from behind one of the shelves and says he was scared from all of the loud arguments. He reaches out taking my hand leading me into another room, which is similar to an alcove again there is no door. This room is dimly lit and has a small round table in the center that’s about waist high. On the table is a statue of a horse that looks like a mustang pony. The horse is reared on its hind legs. I asked Wascar the meaning of the pony, in a soft voice he tells me that the mustang represents my freedom and courage, and that it’s time for me to take them back with me. With them I will no longer feel the need to own other’s issues. That I am now free, as I should be. I then take the statue and ask the boy if he wasn’t to return with me as well, he says no that his work is finished.
