The Voice Said “OPAL…”

During a rather humorous dream I had Saturday night, where I was with friends “goofing” off outside during the day.  Suddenly it went totally dark, as if you were in a windowless room and the lights abruptly went out.  There in the dark a voice said “opal,” which it repeated several times saying it louder each time.  Finally I said, “Yes, opal, I get it.”  Below is some of what Opal represents energetically.

Opal is a stone of inspiration, which enhances imagination and creativity. It helps release inhibitions and enhances memory. Opal is also a very spiritual stone, and can help one be “invisible” in situations where they don’t care to be noticed. Opal brings happy dreams. It also eases the process of change. Opal is a silicate, containing water, correlating with our emotions. Clarifies by amplifying and mirroring feelings, buried emotions, desires (including love and passion). With this come less inhibition, more spontaneity, free visualization, clearer imagination, and more vivid dreams. Physically, Opal is known to strengthen the will to live.  Linked to the heart, and told to stimulate the glands and regulate the metabolism. Opal has a beneficial effect on the human psyche, pouring a warm healing energy on broken hearts and restoring harmony.  Opal is said to be helpful for eyesight and Parkinson’s disease.

Fire Opal shares the properties of all opals and also is an enhancer of personal power, awakening the inner fire, as well as protection against danger.  It is a symbol of hope, facilitating change.  It supports through emotional turmoil, and is a wonderful stone in releasing and letting go of the past.  It has its own personality and energies. Fire opal brings vitality and a creative energy to endeavors. It also had energies of ability to handle change well and comfortably. Fire Opal is also a stone of sensuality and sexuality, enhancing those energies. It is often used in clairaudience as well. Fire Opal is said to help with headache pain. It is associated with the lower chakras; it resonates with the abdomen and lower back and the triple burner meridian.  It heals the intestines as well as the kidneys, balancing the adrenal glands and preventing burn out, and is an excellent stone for warming and reenergizing.  It is excellent for working with the four elements and channeling the energies of the fire spirits in a positive way.

Hey-lovely! So for you-what does ‘opal’ mean? Since it’s a dream-maybe it’s more than the stone? Maybe it’s a name, or a cat or a lapo or a lapso apso…that’s a dog yeah? :) Think outside the box…is there a box? opal is magical…it’s rainbows captured.

Exactly! I followed that train and kept coming back to the stone. That’s when I placed this post. I went to Turyas (spelling??) looking for “opal.” After entering the store I felt as if I was being pulled left, but the friendly store clerk beckoned me right, and offered help. After perusing the stone and crystal people for a bit I meandered over to the left side of the store. While looking over the larger crystals I felt a tap on my shoulder, looked around and down, noticing a brilliant smudge fan. I immediately asked the clerk “who made this” he wasn’t sure but did say a Native American Shaman made it. When I first held the fan it was as if it became part of my arm, the energetic connection was literally and beautifully overwhelming… I purchased the fan and I thing that “Opal” led me to the fan. It has strong and loving energy and amazing person made it. I can’t wait for the clerk to let me know who made it so that I can thank them hopefully in person…
